Have you Tried These Workouts?

Have you Tried These Workouts?

You got all your cute gym gear ready (missed out last blog? Check it out after this one for cute rose-colored gym gear!) and you’re ready to workout. From newbies to gym veterans, we all get to a point where we get stuck in what exercises we should perform and what to do at the gym. In this blog, we have two options you can try. They are guaranteed to break a sweat and are suitable for all skill levels. Let’s get started!

  1. Incline walk with dumbbells

Hate cardio? It’s a common sentiment, don’t worry. Did you know that enhancing the difficulty of walking, you can burn as many calories as you do from running? Give this a try – incline walking with two dumbbells in hand. Turn the incline high (up to 12 but do what is comfortable and challenging to you) and walk at 2.5. You can hold dumbbells from 5lbs to 10lbs (again whatever is comfortable and challenging to you). By holding dumbbells by your side while you are walking, you help engage your core. Do this for 30 minutes and you will be drenched in the sweat!

  1. Supersets

Supersetting is when you perform two exercises back-to-back to increase the difficulty as well as keeping your heart rate up. If you are targeting glutes, a great superset option is Bulgarian split squats to RDLs (Romanian deadlifts). This will target both your glutes, hamstrings, and some quad. If you are looking to tone your arms, a great option is single arm rows to tricep extension (these can be done using a bench as support).

Make sure to Google or YouTube these exercises if you are unfamiliar with them. It’s important to perform these with correct form to get the most out of them as well as avoid injury. Good luck!
