The pursuit of happiness makes its way in some form or another into most people's purpose in life. Whether that is through religion, career, marriage, and/or service, people spend their lives looking for activities and people that will bring the fulfillment that precedes true happiness.
Scientific studies have shown that those who are happier tend to live longer, have stronger immunity, and sleep better. Science has also shown that what ultimately builds this sense of happiness comes from fulfilling social connections, optimism and mental resilience, a sense of life purpose, and a few other factors.
Journeys such as finding your soul mate or self-reflective change might take time but there are small things you can incorporate into your everyday that will give you small spurts of happiness that can lead to a brighter day.
