Perennial Blooms for Your Garden

Perennial Blooms for Your Garden

If you have a garden that gets 6-8 hours of good sunlight a day, these are the flowers you should be planting for beautiful views and delicious fragrance. What’s better is that these plants are perennial meaning they will live for at least two years (unlike annual flowers) although most will live much longer. Since some of these plants are for the moderately experienced gardener, enjoying their presence for longer might be a little more worth the extra effort. Without further ado here are some of our favorites:

  1. Catnip – This plant is perfect for more beginner-leveled gardeners. It’s beautiful clumps of white and purple flowers attract an array of pollinators such as bees and butterflies. It is also quite attractive to most cats giving its endearing name “kitty crack”. If you are a cat-lover, this is the perfect plant for you.
  2. Rose Mallow – Not really a rose, this plant is actually a hibiscus that blooms from July to September. It’s large, luscious pink flowers are quite the site even though each flower only lives for a short amount of time. It’s also more easily grown with it thriving in moist soil.
  3. Polyantha Roses – These roses are smaller than the typical ones sold in stores. However, because of their small stature they work well in areas such as corner spaces or in small gardens. Better yet, the bloom a year-round!

If you are looking for rose bouquets that also “live” for more than a year, we have the perfect selection for you. At The Royal Rose, we specialize in beautifully crafted preserved roses. Our flowers are made from real roses but preserved through a special process that allows them to last for over a year without light, watering, or maintenance! Always beautifully packaged in a box rather than cheap plastic, Royal Rose roses make the best gift! Place an order today!
