Now...let's get started :)
In this segment, we will explore physical touch. Through relationships, physical touch can be expressed through something like a warm hug from the parent or a friend, hand-holding from partners, or a pat on the back from the co-worker.
For something that seems like it needs two to tango, how do you do this for yourself? One of my favorite ways is to get a massage either at home or professionally. At home, I enjoy warming up a damp towel and letting it loosen the muscles of my upper back. Then with a massage ball or even just my hands, I'll start to loosen up the muscles in that area. I will then repeat this process with other large muscle groups such as the lower back, arms, and legs.
Getting a professional massage can come in many different forms such as full body massage or something specific such as foot massage. Acupuncture is also a great way to be more in-tune with your body. Focusing on acupoints is a great way to channel physical touch in a relaxing and productive way.
Give these a try and see if you feel more relaxed and in tune with your body. Part of physical touch is building that mind to body relationship. It's something that takes time and practice but this is a great start.
