Valentine’s Day is a special day for a lot of people. For some, it gives them a reason to go all out in displaying their feelings of love, affection and friendship. It has easily become the ultimate day for romance.
There are those that would argue that Valentine’s Day takes away from true romance, claiming that true love should be shown every day of the year, not just on February 14th. In fact, these critics state that Valentine’s Day is just another day of the year.
So that got us thinking… what are some ways to show your sweetheart that they are special, not just on Valentine’s Day, but any day of the year?
- Take your partner on a random date, for no special reason other than the fact that you want to spend time with them. It doesn’t even have to be on a weekend or anything fancy, just something that the two of you will enjoy! Quality time is often hard to come by in our fast-paced society, so taking some time out of your busy schedule to spend with your sweetheart (any day of the year) is sure to make them feel special.
- Buy a card often to let your partner know that you are thinking about them and appreciate them! Cards don’t have to be just for holidays. Take in and appreciate the little moments and let your sweetheart know how you feel. Did they receive a promotion recently or achieve a goal that they’ve been working towards? A congratulations card would be perfect. Or maybe you you’ve realized just how much they help with finances, keeping the house organized or balancing you out as a partner. You can never go wrong with a thank you card, and it will definitely put a smile on your partner’s face and make them feel special.
- Another idea is to do something that you normally don’t do. In our relationships, we often become routine without realizing it… or maybe we do realize it. Whichever, sometimes it’s nice to take a break from that routine. There are some days when your partner may not feel like walking the dogs first thing in the morning but it’s their turn to walk them… do it for them without saying anything! Or maybe your partner needs a night out without the kids; then offer to watch them. Randomly tell your partner that they are beautiful or handsome in a way that is sincere and meaningful, something you may think often but neglect to share. All of these small acts of service mean a lot, especially when they are practiced all year long.
- Buy your Valentine a luxury bouquet of Royal Roses. While typical roses only last a few days, or weeks at most, Royal Roses specially preserved bouquets are guaranteed to last approximately a year. They don’t even require any of the typical maintenance commonly associated with flowers! A bouquet of Royal Roses will last longer with your loved one reminding them every single day just how much you love and care for them!
So enjoy this Valentine’s Day but be sure to spread the love all year long!
