This is our first Thanksgiving in an era where the pandemic seems to be winding down (hopefully). It’s at least safe enough for most people to feel comfortable leaving their house and spending time with their loved ones in an environment with some semblance to normalcy. Family members can gather in one home and share a meal together, hugs can be exchanged, and smiles can be seen. This also means some traditions remain such as contributing to the potluck. To make your first Thanksgiving back a little easier we have some easy tips in wowing your host.
Thanksgiving parties are all about decoration and setting a mood (and of course food). Even for families who do nothing to decorate their home or use their everyday dishes for guests, having some form of aesthetic crowd pleaser can really change the mood. Some people dress up for Thanksgiving dinner and others bring their dish in a fancy container. One easy way is to decorate your dish. This can include making avocado roses or potato roses (check out our previous blog for instructions) to garnish your dish. Just one or two will change its entire appearance and make it seem like you did more work that you did.
One tried and true way of pleasing the host is bringing an impressive bouquet of flowers. These can act as the centerpiece of the dining room table or kitchen island. Fresh flowers put everyone is a better mood, but it will put the host in an even better mood when they realize that their bouquet will last all the way until next Thanksgiving! At The Royal Rose, we specialize in beautifully crafted preserved roses. Our flowers are made from real roses but preserved through a special process that allows them to last for over a year without light, watering, or maintenance! Always beautifully packaged in a box rather than cheap plastic, Royal Rose roses make the best gift! Place an order today!
